A distinct mark and color was assigned to differentiate the four primary product lines, while keeping it all clearly within the Life Elements brand.
Life Elements has dedicated themselves to developing body and skincare solutions that use the most natural ingredients they can find, including honey, tepezcohuite, and hemp-derived CBD. Their commitment to individually crafting each product with the highest quality has led to incredible growth of the business.
A true alchemist
Inspired by co-founder Martha’s Mexican heritage and her connection to the earth and its elements, the brand comes to life through earthy, honest and expressive visuals. The wordmark is kept minimal, yet warm and the logo mark shows a proud woman holding a rainbow.
Clarity in offerings
It was important to honor the values and vision of the brand, while creating cohesion to their complex product offering. We looked to build a system that could bring clarity to their offering—four distinct product lines (Honey, CBD and Honey, CBD and Vegan, Clean and Good), each containing several product types and CBD strengths.
Packaging
The packaging system required us to articulate the product lines and variations as well as physical product size while accommodating the dense content requirements. Beyond the set product system, we prioritized high legibility for the product name and CBD strength at a quick glance.
Icons and Seals
Iconography and illustration is used heavily throughout the visual identity. Simple icons are used to represent different ingredients found in each line and then assembled into custom seals. Illustrations sharing a style with the primary logo mark abstractly represent brand values and gestural hand drawn illustrations bring warmth to marketing materials and packaging.
Photography
Photography captures the spirit of the company and its founders, a considered and warm environment, as well as the connection between products, the earth and their magical healing and calming qualities.
Website
The website expands on the overall aesthetic and introduces a grid system to add clear structure and seriousness to the organic color palette and need for longer copy. Product and lifestyle photography does a lot of the heavy-lifting in setting the mood and framing elements help to break up content.
