Skanska set out to build a modern office tower for an inspired Bellevue. In a sea of buildings that close themselves off from the city on long car-first blocks, The Eight promises 25 stories of premium office space and a “park in the city” for all. Comfortably modern, and connected to Bellevue at the same time.

Seen from afar and experienced up close

With a clear understanding of both public and tenant desires, we sought to build a brand that would balance iconicity with warmth and honesty. This is where leading companies and top talent thrive. Where people come together for the walk-and-talks that solve problems, build relationships, and foster new ways of thinking.

Revealing structure

A seamless connection between the natural and built environment. We saw an opportunity to celebrate this philosophy and the architectural details through themes of exposure. Staying true to our position, we built a visual identity system that explores the beauty and honesty of exposing the structural elements.

Honest connection

A rich color palette inspired by the flow between inside and outside with humanist typography and layouts that layer and expose their underlying grid systems. All visual expressions that point back to celebrating an honest connection we have with the natural environment.

Day in the life

Photography is used to highlight the real moments of each day—the spirit, materiality, and amenities of this new office tower. We produced a two-day shoot to round out their marketing materials and support architectural renderings as the project is under construction.

Digital design

A simple site designed to share the unique vision of the project alongside key information for brokers and potential tenants. Messaging throughout balances the open invitation and character with tactical information for busy decision-makers. Layered elements add energy and depth—exposing content while encouraging discovery.

The site was built on Prismic CMS to allow for easy content management throughout the initial marketing push and future developments at The Eight.
