AIR Serenbe is the Artist in Residency program at Serenbe, a progressive real estate development just outside of Atlanta. We worked with them to design their core identity and develop a more thoughtful system as they grew the program.

Two buildings

The identity system takes direct inspiration from the architecture and orientation of the artist cottages. The landscape line aligns with the orientation of the buildings, built by Rural Studios, and their connection to each other.

Time and space

The system flexes to fit the context of the piece it inhabits to honor the ability for artists to find either isolation or community when they need it.

The color palette pulls directly from the environment and residences.

In celebration

Through the years, we’ve developed campaigns in support of their programs and artists. The Focus Fellowship included a suite of items to commemorate each year of work, each piece produced in partnership with a local print shop.

Nurturing critical moments of imagination

We designed a deck of cards to honor the vision and service of AIR Serenbe’s first board chairs, Thomas Swanston and Janice Barton. Each card includes thought and writing prompts provided by esteemed artists of all disciplines from across the nation that have served residencies with AIR Serenbe.
